Frolik is easily tradeable in offseason for a draft pick, as he can help a team and is not a negative asset. I am down on him in this trade though as I am trying to position myself as the Islanders: he is at best a lateral move for them (stability vs scoring upside, save money, cost certainty next year) so why do it unless you can get something worthwhile?

This is the second straight year that Frolik has been underwhelming. I don’t get why people think he can easily be moved for a pick. Maybe if the Flames add a higher pick?
Frolik and a 3rd for a 4th?
Islanders are going for the playoffs and Eberle and Frolik are in similar spots being high priced wingers that are struggling under their new coaches. I am hoping the Islanders would consider the deal because they are on the playoff bubble but they might balk.
