The way it was done when I was a kid was you went to the arena and hung around where the players would leave the building and ask a player for his autograph. It was always done in person if you knew where the player was going to be. That's it.. you gave the player a piece of paper, a book, or a picture, along with a pen and they signed it and gave it back to you. Sorry if my request wasn't clear enough. I wasn't sure what the best procedure was to get the autograph... the goal was the autograph, not meeting McDavid. I don't really care if I never meet McDavid. I just would like to get his autograph... and a personalized one to my Grandson would be preferred.

Understood - I just think that portion might be an issue to the Oilers. If you respond with the drop off / pick up idea, they may be more receptive.
