Right but the point is, US border agents
are doing it, and have had the mandate to do so since 2017 and have been pushing it hard since 2018, due to the "git tuff on non-Muricans" push from the WH.
They are also apparently going to use this information to ban Canadian travelers based on their jobs or affiliations, which brings us full circle back to "why are we 'whatabouting' this?"
