He's a good, young player, but he's not a Patrik Laine or Jack Eichel, and the other piece we get in that deal is going into the final year of his contract, where as the Flames would be dealing one of the top offensive right handed defensemen in the entire league who hasn't even seen his 25th birthday yet and is signed for multiple years for under $6 million. |
I really appreciate your optimism RoofDaddy and love your proposals as you normally make realistic ones that are also fun to think about. I can't share in the reality of this one though.
Teams will always rightfully get carried away with draft position when they haven't even finished their first season after going top 2.
