I have two teens at home. Everywhere we go there is a ton of people and lineups. Sure, we don't need a skeleton run or bobsleigh one. But there is so much more to it than that.
Point being, without 88 olympics we wouldn't have most of these facilities. Who knows how we can re-purpose whatever we need to build? All I know is that if you have to be bused in to Sunshine or can't park at COP there is an obvious demand for winter sport facilities. It really is that busy.
Plus, the Flames would get a new arena out of it and maybe the Stamps would get something out of it too. We can argue how or who pays until we are blue in the face, but no way a new stadium is not up for 2026.
