I don't have any articles per se that I can dig up for you, but...suffice to say I think that there have been some rumours floating around for a while now that he is a bit moody? Maybe someone who knows more can provide more information, or correct me if I am wrong? They haven't ever come to the forefront, but they have been persistently kind of there, lurking in the background for quite a while now... (a handful of years?).

Had not much worse RBI numbers despite way less opportunities to hit with Runners on base.
Also Howard had Utley, a .300+ hitter, hitting in front of him as well as Vitriano who had a decent year and Pujos had an injured Eckstein or leading off and a rookie hitting second in front of him.....
If Pujols gets dissed for leading his team to the play-offs in a weak division then Howard should get called on hitting all those solo HR's in a hitters dream of a home field.
The actions of Pujols off the field since the start of the play-offs are a little concerning for me. He has shown nothing but being a great off filed guy up to that point in his career and it is a little odd that these things are happening now. Especially considering he plays for one of the most professional teams and clubhouses in the leageu you would think someone would have said "Hey Albert this sh*t ain't that good of an idea"
He should have won the MVP, and it wasn't close in my mind, but he already has one, will win more in his career and is putting a career together that will be measured against Williams, Ruth, Dimaggio, Musial etc. and shouldn't have to worry about the Ryan Howards of the world.

The first part of your post, Moon, I would disagree with...in fact to me its kind of symbolic of what Pujols has done; a "well yah the other guy had a good year and I did win the world series....but look at all that I did...I derserve it more!!". It smacks to me of being a sore winner if that makes sense. (I don't mean what I said at the start to be anything about you personally; its just more of a "welll yah....but really look at the other guy, he wasn't good enough!!" type of thing).
Haven't there been rumours kind of here and there that Pujols is a bit moody to begin with (i.e. not just since post-playoffs)? Since you appear to follow the Cards more closely than I , perhaps you can provide some more evidence/input to either back up or refute this idea...
And as for the last part, I agree with - he needs to just show some class and be happy with his lot, and not complain about it....
