Therein lies the issue. Limited depth production cuts down the boost from the improved goaltending to where we're virtually the same.
Hopefully Shore can at least help the 4th line to be reliable defensively. And maybe Versteeg can sub in for Hathaway and score the odd goal.

Right.... So why the big contract handed out to Backlund? Appears to be a continuation of the miscalculation unfortunately.
