I agree, that album is an incredible piece of work. At first listen I was a little unsure, but once I got into the meat of the album I was taken away by the scope and beauty of it.
To be honest, I can't get the images that it creates out of my head. The whole band and disc has an air of history and importance around it (perhaps largely due to the name they have taken on as well as what they chosen to call the disc). The Crane Wife is a hauntingly sad Japanese tale, and I think it was a great choice.
I can't get over how much I like this sound - it feels like something special.
Kermit, I know that you and Rockstar in another thread mentioned the new Muse album...
What are your thoughts? Overall, it feels like a great piece of work, but like with all Muse albums, though while they are brilliant there always seems to be a few rough patches where you wonder about the choices they made.
Great disc though, I have listened through it more than a handful of times.
