There is nothing tricky about setting up a fridge. They say you shouldn't plug it in for 24 hours after moving it, so the Freon can settle before doing it's thing. If you waited the 24 hours before plugging it in, that's pretty much it. You plug it in, set it's coldness, and then crack a beer. Sounds like you should be calling the place you bought it from and asking for a replacement ASAP.
Truth be told, I've moved fridges around plenty of times, and completely disregarded the wait time, and have not had a problem.
