I know darn well this will be mocked by macho sports fans because of the songs involved but the "where the streets have no name" and "fix you" intros at Habs and Canucks games are examples of intros that allow the fans to be the star of the moment and take over the atmosphere, while creating a very traditional experience, like you're truly watching the sport of hockey in it's birthplace.

The Flames have always stupidly played really heavy, overbearing rock/metal songs that they think creates atmosphere because they don't know a single lick about enticing a crowd into being the atmosphere vs attempting to BE the atmosphere.
To the Flames game presentation team: The videos and clips you show on the Enmax Energy Board are gold. Keep them coming. But.. visit MSG, copy, replace red/white/blue with red/gold/black, paste. In my experiences there, it's been electric from the pre-game right through to the final buzzer. Music, goal songs, crowd participation (to make noise or win prizes etc.). The goal celebration is the best I've seen live (although 3 other places I've visited, the Flames have shut-out the home team )
