I think you can credit or blame Paul Reinhart for that. He seems to have done a very thorough job preparing all of his sons to play the game like pros, and in junior, against kids who played like kids, it made them shine beyond their actual ability. People saw Griffin Reinhart and projected his future as if he were an 18-year-old kid who still had a lot of growth to go as a player. They didn't realize that he had done most of his growing already.
By the way, Griffin Reinhart, who has just been put on waivers by an expansion team, was drafted fourth overall – like Sam Bennett, who has had an awful start to the season but has at least established himself as a bona fide NHLer. Just saying.
