This was a player who had a self admitted piss poor season last season, is the city's whipping boy, and who is likely being shopped around the league. Literally every single person on cp has been begging for him to start showing some emotion on the ice. He sticks up for the captain and finally starts doing what he's supposed to be doing.

The day he does that someone posts how it was a bad thing, and multiple people actually 'thanked' it.
