The only embarrassing part of this is that we got sucked in by the Americans and their stupid war on nothing. We didn't stand up for our own legal right and we got caught. That's embarrassing. Listening to smart people get this wrong is also embarrassing.

Actually I think he is a huge threat to us. When you've been in a taliban camp from ages 9-15, odds are you've been indoctrinated to their agenda or helping support their forces through civilian labour. I wouldn't trust this guy at all. Legally he is "our own" sure but there is no way I would ever trust this guy. Not only is he now a symbol of victory for Jihadist, we have "our own" people split on opinions about him. He is protected now by the judicial systems put in place that are doing so in error.
Also for background information, I also do not support special legal protection for minors at all in the first place.
This could've all been avoided however if OC-1 had killed him properly. Not even an issue if he was dead or in a Afghan prison instead of being transferred to Gitmo.
