The PA can't really hold the agents accountable because at the end of the day it's up to the players. Do you really think the PA are going to be going after Patrick Sharpe's agent for "letting him" sign the bargain basement deal with the Hawks today? The agents get paid a commission, do you really think they aren't trying to get their client the maximum out of every possible contract?
I get a lot of people don't like the PA, but some of the theories posted on here about how the PA tries to control things are completely out to lunch.

Crosby signed one of the last of the back diving deals. A 12 year 104 million dollar deal was market value. So over the 10 years the contract is actually for he gets 10.4 per. Which is roughly one of the highest Salaries at the time and still amoung the highest now that back diving contracts were banned.
Iginla spoke of pressure to sign fair deals by the PA.
