I am not sure they were intimidated in the sense that they were afraid of the Kings but I do think there was a hint of worry in the back of their minds.
Some of the guys on the bench probably remembered that clinching game in 14/15 where the Kings came out with a clear intent to hurt the Flames skill guys and it was on the back of their mind.
Think it caused them to lose focus and instead of just playing their game they tried to run around and prove that they wouldn't be pushed around physically like they were that season.
