We did struggle on our passing, no doubt about that. But the real problem the Kings caused for us was they trapped like mad, and trapped very effectively. Even at 0-1, they were stacking four on the blue line and it just continued all night. It worked, so good for them.

They were intimidated in that they played the game worried about what the Kings were going to do rather than just go out and play their style of game. The Kings really didn't do anything out of the ordinary playing a typical Kings game and that's not a style that suits the Flames nearly as well as evident by the outcome.
I think the Flames will have to get used to seeing trapping in the playoffs as that Bruins loss that ended the streak kind of created the blueprint of how to shut down the Flames in that you keep four guys back with active sticks to beak up the passing. Flames couldn't get a thing going in that game much like last night.
