The funny part was in game one of the finals they had Conklin backing up who became the losing goalie after the Roloson injury. Then the remaining 6 games were played by Jussi Markkanen. If Markkanen was their 2nd choice goalie, why was Conklin backing up in Game 1?

They'd been alternating Conklin and Markkanen as the backup all through the playoffs. The way Conklin botched the play on the game winning goal, the coaching staff had concerns with him bouncing back mentally from such a monumental gaffe. They went with Markkanen in game two and he held the net for the remainder of the series.
