Not saying it is right, but the star players are getting keyed on with these little slashes on the hands over and over again, and the league seems disinterested in protecting the star/skilled players, so eventually they are going to take matters into their own hands. Why are you putting in such an effort to justify players doing this crap to other players? Of course people always would want Keith, despite him being a dirty player at times, that does not mean this is acceptable behavior, and like Keith, Pronger, or Nyquist here, if Johnny did as you suggest he should, damn right I would support a good long suspension against him. You don't make players pay by chopping them in the face, you make them pay on the scoreboard, otherwise the only thing you're accomplishing is showing how easy it is for other players to get in your head and make you act out like a child, and they'll just whack away at you some more.
