Hes made some mistakes, sure, but that was bound to happen. At the same time I think there are some things that are being attributed to him as mistakes that he really didnt have all that much control over such as seemingly good goaltenders forgetting how to play in net and the coaching...well I'm torn on that still.
If hes still around near the Trade Deadline then I imagine that this is one of those scenarios where his contract is more or less established they just havent gotten around to the signing part of it yet.

I don't know how any fan can be down on Treliving for the Johnson deal as he was signed to be a backup and he's been better than advertised. All that has been confirmed with his recent play is that he can't be counted on as a starting goaltender but as a backup I don't think you can do any better. Elliott hasn't been as good as advertised but if you really look he's not been given a chance to run with the job as the coach has handed Johnson starts recently in spite of him no being sharp early in games. I would hope at the very least if Elliott strings together a few good games that he's allowed to go on a long run as the team gave up a 2nd round pick for him and should try to at least see what's there before turning the page in the offseason.
