Sure. And 28 of those teams have a better record than the Flames do right now.
Here's the thing:
When you consider current results and direction (which is a combination of short-term and long-term roster management + coaching staff hires + drafting priorities) it is reasonable to think that the Burke and Treliving deserve serious criticism.
Yes, the Flames will get some bad money off the books after this tire fire of a season. Are you going to be able to trust them to make the best decisions with that space? I'm not so sure.
