The left lost because no one stood up and called Trump on his incredible number of lies and held his feet to the fire. If the mass media did their damn job and pulled Trump's pants down on his lies, and showed he had a really small winkie, he would have been neutered before he became a possible threat. They let him get away with his garbage and that is what lost the election. Americans, (people in general, including Canadians) are inherently ignorant on how government works, or any complex system for that matter. If the education system, and the mass media, did their job and informed the electorate of these functions Donald Trump never would have happened.
