Most people believe Trump did the things to women he bragged about. But they still voted for him. So the message to girls and women is if you're assaulted, don't bother reporting it because at best there'll be no consequences and more than likely you'll be called a liar, have your past behaviour put under a microscope, be threatened and vilified on social media, risk financial ruin by lawsuits, be objectified and belittled because you aren't even attractive enough to abuse in the first place... Just take the abuse.

The problem is that no one reported it. Instead they waited years and then went to the media. It doesnt send the message that you suggest it does. At least some of Cosby's accuser went to the police.
