The only difference between a two way and a one way is that with a 1 way your salary is guaranteed at one level whether you play in the NHL or the AHL. With a two way contract, you have an NHL Salary level and a lower AHL salary level. It doesn't effect waiver eligibility, or transfers from the farm, or anything else. Also, as some posters already mentioned, he is below the 950K max that you can bury in the AHL. So it makes no difference whatsoever to the salary cap situation for the flames. As for the repercussions of paying Grossmann 575K to play or sit in the AHL for the remainder of the season.....who gives a rats a$$? Its not your money. All that matters is that hes gone, and we have 30 days to bring him back without having to clear waivers again when we need additional "truculence". LOL
