I agree with this. I think the success of the coach depends more on other aspects of their job and not the X's and O's. Every team might have a default strategy, but every team draws from the same tool box and will be flexible depending on the situation. No coach is exactly reinventing the wheel.
What it comes down to is player/bench management, talent evaluation, motivation, practices, decision making on the fly, respect and accountability. I honestly don't believe a team wins or loses based on "the system", but more on the points listed. If a coach can't do these things, no system will work because the players won't trust in it and therefore will not execute it.
The last 2 games are certainly encouraging and a lot of the buying in will depend on the early results. Success and failure is pretty much a feedback loop.
