Wideman & Engellend are bonefide NHL defenders... they're just not very good ones. Moreover one of the reasons they lack good bonafide NHL defenders is because they've had guys like Russell/Wideman/Engellend blocking the guys on the farm from getting regular NHL reps (and thus becoming bonafide).
