Endorsements for NHL players are typically not worth much relative to their actual contracts, and I am quite sure that the difference of Gaudreau's off-ice earning potential in a large US market v. Calgary would be practically negligible. Moreover, any transition period between the Corsby to the McDavid era is bound to be pretty short to non-existent.
