Oppressed is a strong word. Black people were oppressed in the USA, they're not anymore. Certainly poverty is a tough barrier and cycle to overcome, but I don't see how that's any different than poor Hispanics, or Natives, or Whites.

And good for him, that's a good cause. Hopefully he's motivated himself and others in the NFL to do more.
