Tkachuk doesn't impress me, relative to what you expect for a 6th OA pick. He didn't impress me in London, didn't impress me at the Juniors, and didn't impress at dev camp. I didn't watch the playoffs or memorial cup, which is where he was at his supposed best though. He's just so average to me. You don't want average in a prospect.
I don't like to be a downer about the Flames but I just don't see a great future player there. If you told me to keep one prospect from the pool he'd be way down the list. Maybe I've just become too attached to all the prospects the Flames already have.
I voted for Shinkaruk because he is the most likely player to provide both a short and long term positive impact for the Flames.
