My man there is a reason that the Blue Jays had David Price, Josh Donaldson and Troy Tulowitzki at one point. The window for success in the MLB is small you absolutely have to capitalize and "go for it" when the opportunity is there.
Especially under the "parameters" that Rogers had set. Hoffman, Norris, Boyd, Gose etc have done nothing compared to what their trade counterparts have done for the Jays. The Jays will never be big free agent signers. Right now they have an insanely good team, AA went for it and I don't blame him. Sure the Dickey trade didn't work out that for us but whatever, the Mets are still in the same spot as the Jays, without a World Series for a long time.
