Acquired from Toronto for a fourth-round pick in 2013, Joe Colborne has been a decent contributor in three seasons with the Flames, finishing last season with a flourish as he got to skate alongside Gaudreau and Monahan once Jiri Hudler was shipped to Florida. That led to career-best goal and point totals and even if he may not be the long-term answer on the number one line, his late-season success ought to open the possibility of Colborne holding down a regular spot on a scoring line.
