There is no reason for Grant to be out.
Labelling him as a generic tweener is a poor analysis. He's got three things that automatically separate himself from a generic tweener - being 6'3", the best faceoff man on this team and a very good skater. And statistically Grant had 0.75 Goals per game and 1.25 ppg in a very tough-to-score AHL division. It may not translate 1:1 to the NHL but he's done enough to not only deserve an NHL contract but make this team out of training camp. There's a reason only Grant and Hathaway got
actual call ups post-deadline.
