So.. Anyone that fits the build of equivalent talent but expected to make between 5-6Mil per, is not what he wants.
So, lets take Wideman, Kulak and Spoon out of it.
Who fits the bill out of North Central and NW regional teams that can offer a Bonafide Dman on an expiring contract who eats 18+ minutes and contributes to a PP, and two guys on controllable ELC's that are NHL ready?
And for the love of God, people need to stop overlooking the point that Snow himself said he wants a player(s) who he can control financially for a few years (paraphrasing).
With that in mind, who fits the bill?

You missed my point.
If they can't get their D man they will probably look to improve their forwards. IMO he was only holding out for the D man for the remainder of this year (playoffs) as Hamonic said he would play out this year with no issues.
IF they can't find that guy they will open up to other trades IMO.
Why would they trade for a more expensive far worse player (Wideman) and 2 prospects who have shown nothing?
The other possibility is doing a 3 way trade with another team supplying a D man.
