Elliot's contract expires after next season and will be due for a raise with his play. Allen has played well for them this season as well and looks to be their goalie of the future. Depending on what happens in the playoffs, Blues could be looking to go full-time with Allen next year and trade Elliot. He should get them a good return with that cap hit and his play. That's for next season. If the Blues fancy themselves a contender they are not worried about Asset Management a year away from a
potential expansion draft. The best asset management for them is to hold on to their cheap, experienced goaltender.
