It puts it on the player ... he plays in the NHL next year and that makes up for no bonus. This year he likely is with the NHL team for the last 5 games (45K in salary) in lieu of signing Bonus.
Is Jankowski (ATO) playing this year for free? The first $ he gets would be his signing bonus for 2016-17. when would he get that?
Would his agent be able to float him walking around money?
