I'm sorry but blind faith in fairytales is the root of this problem because the terrorists genuinely believe they're doing gods work and that this is for the greater good. Remove that and make people realize that there is no after life, no reason to risk their lives and then we'll see how many people are willing to risk their lives for whatever bs cause you come up with now.
Convince people there is no God and you will solve this problem.

You will stop the crimes fueled by religion. But you will not stop Sandy Hook, Mass shootings, politically motivated terrorism, territory disputes.... etc.
Yes, religion fuels a lot of this garbage. But wiping religion from existence isn't some sort of magic bullet.
