Kipper was probably the biggest reason for that run, Marty being the eliminator. Conroy had a great playoff. Donovan/Neimanen/Nilson creating havoc. Regher and Rhett were massive on the back-end.
It was far from an Iggy show. That was a TEAM, led by Darrell.

Absolutely the whole run was a team effort, but there were many games when you could see the fire in his eyes on the bench and take a team that played 40 minutes of meh hockey and just elevate them. I think the force of will was just seeing him on the ice, pushing through checks, never backing down and imposing himself on the other team.
I'm sure a good part of it is nostalgia, but there are a select few names in hockey that would power to the net to score, turn around and fight the other team's enforcer and then inspire the guys to be better.
Johnny is slick and skilled and will dominate hockey games and has a good chance at winning a scoring title or two, but there was a flame (no pun intended) in Iginla that when he got fired up you knew things were going to happen and it inspired those teams. Kipper would keep them in it, but when it was time to rally the troops they all looked to Jarome.
