You say "classic", to me that means either "timeless" (opinion) or "looks like jerseys from the good old days" (doesn't). If you think "classic" means simple designs, all the power to you (though, I would disagree with them being simple too), but maybe define it first.

Half of them have weird design shapes - puck and stick shaped like an E (this one's not bad), non-traditional leaf with interior element, leaves on the sleeves, odd baseball/Third Reich logo, with black, orange, and grey, with outlined "C", with what looks like heather grey stripes, stripes under the arms?
I'm wondering if we're possibly looking at different pictures? Are the away jerseys simpler and classicer?

I get that some people are very passionate about jersey designs and you obviously hate these and that's fine. Perhaps we are talking about different things. I said piping you said striping. Totally different and unrelated IMO. I said I was glad the piping was gone and you quoted me saying they have striping. I mentioned that they are different things. I'm not being patronizing I was just trying to politely correct you since you seemed to infer that I was saying that piping = striping.
I would say that you pretty much only talk about the logos in your complaints. That is a bit different. I'm looking at the actual jersey, not so much the logos, which I agree leave something to be desired.

Awful trapezoid shapes, or whatever the hell those are on the sleeves of the home and away, on this Sens jersey:
Awful vertical piping on Avs jersey:
this showcases ugly colors (pee gold instead of yellow), weird shapes on arm, weird shapes on pants:
Then of course the Flames. Perhaps the worst offenders. Weird shapes under the arms, bad vertical piping, nonsensical vertical stripes under arms that don't extend far enough and clash with the vertical stripes on pants. :
BTW here is the icethetics article where I took most of the bad jersey pics from. Their solutions are pretty good. Lots of classic features. Classic colours, horizontal stripes on arms and bottom of jersey, no funny shapes (that Coyotes jersey has funny shapes but in the context of the aztec looking stripes).
