Exactly. All I was saying is that to me Captain seems like a guy who would enjoy some personality in his car, and if so, I think the Tucson is a poor choice. If he isn't, and cares more about A to B transportation and value in terms of stuff in the car, than the Hyundai is a totally viable option. They are the right choice for many people.

You're missing the point...price has nothing to do with it. My rusty Mazda is just as fun as anything I've owned (and Ive only owned used cars). It was cheap, reliable, and had personality. Personality does not come in 2 seater convertibles only. Btw, I paid less for my car than a new Tucson. Used-car depreciation for the win!
