Let me give you a quick tutorial on how receivables work. After 90 days, if you have not made a payment most lenders assume you have no intention of paying back your loan, because, well, most people don't. Student loans are even more generous, in that you can stop payment simply by contact the lender and giving them a sob story. So there's really no reason for someone to default on a student loan just because they can't pay.

Not sure if you know this, but.....the government can make any kind of loan repayment option they want. Last time I looked I didn't see repayment terms in the constitution. If they want to let people take 50 years to pay it off they can. Can you understand that????
