At 33 years old and obviously buried in the minors for a team with no chance at the cup, I wouldn't blame him if he woke up tomorrow and announced his retirement. It's unlikely anything tops this and why not go out on your achievable top?
He is a well educated man with a degree and a family that is about to double. Toiling in the minors isn't the only way he can earn a living.
