This is similar to the Dougie Hamilton situation, but up front. I wouldn't object to moving the 2017 1st cause the team is trending upwards with the development of our core players so the pick isn't as likely to be in the lottery ranks. Compliment our core with another young skilled player that already has a head start with NHL experience under his belt.
Then acquire a RW vet with size at the deadline or in FA.

Hamilton was arguably the best D on his team at the time of his trade. At the very least he was viewed as the heir apparent to Chara.
Drouin hasn't done much of anything in the NHL, and his coaches don't like the way he plays without the puck. If he can't play for John Cooper and Steve Yzerman, he can't play for Bob Hartley, and Brad Treliving.
