"Don't cover current events" is kind of limiting when it comes to a weekly show. Just curious, but who gets to make that rule up for them? "You can't cover this subject..." comes from who exactly?

Political subjects have always been in their "lexicon of subject material". Dan Aykroyd made fun of Jimmy Carter.
