Most Ranger fans will tell you, he has been pretty bad this season for the Rangers. However, hockey iq aside, he is a decent enough winger for the Flames to take a chance on.
The Rangers have cap issues coming up with Kreider, Yandle, Hayes, Miller, Etem and Raanta needing new contracts, This could be another situation like where the Rangers ended up trading Hagelin for Etem.

I'd love to pick up Kreider. He's big, he stirs things up, throws his weight around a bit; all things we could really use.
