I like Ramo but c'mon now. Ortio was never given the rope Ramo got. He kept playing despite losses.

Give Ortio the same chance and wouldn't be surprised he would "earn" it too.

The top prospects excluded (since Mony, JH, and Bennett are hard to miss with), you've got Ferland, Bouma, Jooris, and Colborne who all have done very well under Hartley.

What if Ortio isn't that good? He hasn't earned the right over either of the other goalies to work through troubles. Ortio has been not good, his practices haven't been good, and he wasn't even noteworthy in the preseason. He hasn't earned his shot this season and if we're going to seasons prior, both Ramo and Hiller have earned a much bigger shot than Ortio.

Ortio has to earn his place. It's on nobody else but him.
Disagree. How did Ramo and Hiller earn their shot? By consistently getting to play. It was win and keep the net last year, was it the case this year with Ortio and Ramo? nope!

I'm not going to get into who he's developed and who he didn't. I'm only talking about Ortio. I was hoping for Ramo-Ortio tandem to start the season but to say Ortio got a fair shot to play is misleading. He did play well in the pre-season by the way, go check the stats and read those PGT.

I hope Ramo keeps improving and holds on to the net now but I wouldn't be surprised to see Hiller come back and be the backup and they go back to win and keep the net. That would be a piss off for Ortio.
