I think the move to Gabbert is a terrible decision. Obviously, Kaepernick is struggling this year. But I have a hard time moving on from a QB who has already shown himself capable of leading a team to the cusp of a championship (in two separate seasons) in favor of a guy who had a 5-22 record in Jacksonville. It's the same way I feel about the Griffin-Cousins situation in Washington. Why move on from a struggling young QB who has previously played at a really high level in favor of someone who never has, and never will, reach that level? (No, my view of Cousins hasn't changed just because he lit up Tampa Bay.) The 49ers are going nowhere this season regardless of who plays QB; shouldn't they at least try to improve the QB who actually has potential?
