Basically this should have been solved in a verbal manner. You clear the classroom to remove the audience, but keep the teacher as a witness. You call her parents or guardians to come and get the kid and suspend or expel her.
This goes back to looking at how we train the police to deal with situations like this.

fyi I don't disagree that this would have been a better way to solve it. I just don't see the outrage over some 16 year old little #### getting tossed to the ground for defying an officer, just like everyone who has defied an officer before them.
