Does anyone know what voter turnout was in this election (by percent of eligible voters)? I am really curious.
There was some talk that running a negative campaign increases voter apathy and decreases turnout. It was mentioned a while back that lower turnouts tend to favour the Conservatives.
Trudeau more or less, tried to run a positive campaign ("Canada Can Always Do Better"). Not that there wasn't also the "sick of Harper" angle, but it wasn't the driving force IMO.
