There were 6 d-men 31 and older out of the 26 getting Norris Trophy votes.
There were 3 older than the age Gio will be when this contract starts.... Kronwall 34 and Campbell 35 and Markov 36.
Gio has been injured for significant periods the last 2 years... There has only been 3 seasons out of his 8 where he has played a normal 90%+ of the games .
Iginla for comparison missed more than 8 games twice in his 18 year career....
Totally bad comparison.
