Well, Byron is one of the more useful players we have. He's one of the last players we shouldn't have qualified.

Most guys who are eligible for arbitration are not going to want to get lowballed with qualifying offers.

Same could be said of the whole bottom 6 - Stajan, Colborne, Jones, Raymond. We
were just fine without all four, all of November while Byron was playing in our top 6. We were fine without Bouma too, all playoffs.
