Down the Stretch .. post all star when the Jets were in the crunch and Little and Perrault were hurt and Buff hurt and forced to play defense his TOI went up to 18 minutes from 16 minutes and he did a great job on the top checking line of Ladd-Lowry-Frolik He was only -4 in the last 34 games while chipping in with 9 goals and 16 pts.
Ladd only had 22 pts and was a -2 once he was put on the checking line.
The #1 line down the stretch (post all star game) was Wheeler 25 pts
+18 -Schiefele 23 pts +5 -Stafford 19 pts +6 in his 26 games as a Flame.
He was definitely better than Stempniak who had 10 pts in his 18 games as a Jet on the third line.
